Server was smooth as silk Dutch. If it was a ranked server it would be full 24/7

I just noticed something about UT2k4. I hope us asking for a BF2 server isn't cramping the others who play that game.

That last link sounded like you can't host your own ranked server. Only official servers through EA and their partners will offer ranked servers now or in the future.

Yes, thanks again for the BF2 server everyone. Another EA - Romulan plot I see. Well screw the rankings, If OF does not rank, then no one does.

Been play'n the demo and like it alot, gonna buy the game. Can UT2K4 and BF2 servers be running at the same time? Or just one at a time?

i think it might be able to run both at the same time, but people on both would be a problem i think, i dont think there's enough bandwidth. im going to miss ut2k4, i still havent screwed with the demo any more to see if i can straighten out the key bind issue

I know Turf, I've been thinking about that myself. The reason I decided to put on the BF2 server is that UT2K4 was seeing very little traffic lately, so I figured we might as well put the server to work.

Like you I don't think it'll support both with people playing on both. Tried that with CS:S and UT2k4 and it did not work then either (though the server had less memory at the time). Let's see how things go for a while.

An idea: we could crank down the player load on UT2K4 to like 8 and see how it goes. I'll try it, let me know feedback from either game please.

Would it be possable to schedule a test, 3 or 4 players (or more) on each game at the same time and see how it runs? Maybe some night this week? I will be happy to help, and get some fragging in at the same time! LOL.
