RIP Arthur Slabbert aka {OF}BigA
the old Unreal OF branch will remember BigA from back in the early days. It just came to my attention via the GPL forums that Arthur passed away in April of this year age 66.

Arthur built several Unreal maps back in the day, and then found GPL thanks to Achilles. He built for GPL a classic track Watkins Glen 1948, the old road course. Arthur had many friends in the GPL community, as well as here in the Old Fart clan.

Wow, BigA is well before my time.

Weird. Had a co-worker pass away last week after a motorcycle accident last week. He was 38. Now BigA at 66.

Way to young for both of them....

Art was one of the best sort. Always worried about him with all the unrest in the middle east and kept in contact even though it was mostly an annual Bday greeting. I will miss him. That makes the second bad news about an old skool OF that I've heard in the last couple of weeks. The natural order of things surely sucks.
