Update: Since the LAN Party . . .

As most of you know my oldest son and two grandkids moved into our place June 8th. Here is the update on how is it going.

After the lan party we cleared the room out and moved my office into the extra bedroom upstairs. We then setup the cubicle bedroom walls and my son cleaned them using Mrs Smiley's carpet cleaner's hand wand, they look like new now

On Sat the 7th we filled a 20-yard dumpster with clutter from my son's pole barn. We filled my flatbed trailer with scrap metal for recycling. We ordered a larger 30-yard dumpster to try to hold the rest of the clutter this coming weekend. I cannot believe the amount of crap that my son brought home, intending to fix it or use it. So much junk that he had no idea what he even had stacked in that barn.

Mrs Smiley and I brought the scap metal to the recycler Weds morning. We had over 3300 pounds on that trailer. Rough on my body with the storms we've been getting this week -- but the new pain meds are taking the edge off

The grandkids have said multiple times this week that they like living here. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with all the kids in the neighborhood. But I hope some of it is set mealtimes and knowing we run life on a consistant schedule. I think the oldest feels she can be a kid again instead of a reminder/prompter person for my son.

So I have not been online much, but I'm not at all bored

Sounds like a good start. Hope some of the metal junk you had will pay a little bit of the rent for your son

tough adjustment.. but there's nothing like family! And being that close, you get to see them alot. thats a blessing in disguise
