If it was a ball joint or control arm issue it would get worse at higher speeds. I've driven with blown shocks with no problem before. I would lean towards a worn out tie rod end.

not practicle when you have both adults working. Trust me I would love to ride my bike to work (11 miles 1 way) but with both of us working that is impossible since she gets out when I have to leave.

Ok well the 2 front tires had steel belting missing on the inside. must have been small because I didnt notice it. Then they tried to tell me $290 for a wheel alignment because it needs shims and a strut slot. I said no am I right? shouldnt it be $60 for an alignment no matter what needs to be done?

heh - not with front wheel drive, there is a lot going on up there. $290 could be about right, but I haven't had a FWD vehicle in years so I don't know. Have them show you the bad strut slot . . . and what is supposed to be wrong with it.

What do you mean the belt is "missing".

apparently some of the steel belting on the tire came off. surprised it hadnt blown up on me if that was the case. Bell tire wouldnt honor the 50k warranty because that tire was "misaligned".
