Front end shake

Ok after work I am bringing my van in to find out whats wrong but thought id post here in case they cant figure it out .

when driving at a constant speed (doesnt matter idle or 80mph doesnt matter) the wheel shakes left to right. quite a bit at idle but not so noticable at 80. If I let go of the steering wheel it pulls to the left. I keep reading front end needs aligned but am I safe to assume I will probably be replacing the cv joints etc? or could something somehow gotten bent? Hopefully it will be covered under the warranty but I have a feeling it wont be. I jsut dont want to go on my vacation here in a few weeks with something like this happening. I should say I get no shake or pulling when accelerating only when at a constant speed.

k guess im not. all the tires were 6lbs under (cold just like it said to check it at). wife has to work tonight so ill probably go test it after she goes since I put 6 lbs more air in all tires but I doubt thats it. I do have to hold the steering whell to the right some to keep it straight so maybe ill be lucky and it will just be an alignement issue

its nice to have a truck MUHAHAHAHAAHA

my montero sport was doing the same thing.. but only at 25 - 30 mph... had the ball joints checked...NOPE had the allignment checked.... nope they replaced the hub on the front right... BETTER...but still a minor shake at 25-30... So I have to bring it back in a few weeks to have them look at the other hub!

the idiots there tried to tell me that it was a bent rim.... so I asked them didn't you rotate the tires.. the idiot replied.. why yes we did... then I asked so the tire with the ent rim is on the back correct.. the idiot then replied yes it is.. so then I asked the idiot... so... how does a tire that is supposedly bent, that is mounted on the back cause the GOD DAMN STEERING WHEEL to shake????? I was pissed after spending $1000 on all this crap they claimed to be causing the shaking and it still shakes... they are fixing it for sure this time... and it will be free!!! My x-wife and current wife hate me for always being confrontational.. but I look at it this way.. I don't take sh!t from noone and I will protect my rights as a paying customer!

ok so 3x and the issue isnt fixed. I believe that constitutes as the lemon law.

the shake is now very minimal now after putting the proper tire pressure in the tires but it still moves to the left. I know I need new pads as I have about 1/8" of pad left. I dont think that would cause it but maybe im wrong.

http://www.carlemon.com/ I guess I am somewhat misinformed about the lemon law .

Does it shake more or can you feel it through the brake pedal when braking Blong? That would indicate a warped rotor on the front.

If it pulls to the side it sounds like an alignment problem. Have them check the tie rob ends and the ball joints before doing an alignment.

A bent rim is easy to find by jacking up the tire off the ground and checking for run out while spinning the tire. (I have two bent aluminum wheels on the truck from two different tire blowouts at 70 mph. So my truck always shakes . . . but I'm cheap, I'll get new wheels when the tires need replacing.)

Sometimes low tire pressures can cause the tire to heat up and the inner cords to come loose, causing an out of balance or even a flat spot in the tire.

i had no idea we had an automotive forum lol, i'd be here a lot more....

i'd guess it's an alignment issue first, but no telling without having it get checked. i doubt its anything bent as that would take quite a bit of a hit to happen. i nailed a curb in my integra (see: ramped the left side of the car over it) and it didnt do anything to the suspension/wheels/etc just scratched the underside bumper valence which ended up getting replaced when some truck decided to runover my bumper in a parking lot.

braking is still smooth there is no vibration when breaking. I only feel it when driving down the road. I was thinking something to do with breaks because it sounds like (I finally turned the radio off to listen hehe) when your breaks are getting to the very end of life that sound happens just driving. doesnt happen while breaking nor does it pull to the left or right when breaking. only does it when driving.
