'new' car
well, after deciding not to go with the suv and to go with a smaller 'fun' car. i ended up with this 2004 Ford Focus zx3 premium. 2.3l I4, 5spd, sunroof, leather, etc etc. 47k miles for under $9, figured it was a pretty good deal after looking around. apparently the 2.3 is somewhat rare in these cars and i figured finding that plus manual and sunroof with decently low miles (for me, dad has cars till 200+) was worth buying now. has about 140hp, 144ft/lbs torque, feels a good bit better than the older '01 focus in the background of these pics. after changing the oil i noticed that it actually has the same engine as our '05/'06 escape, lol. anyway, pics!:

Nice ride! I have a 2005 ZX4 ST with the newer 2.3l, running at 151bhp standard. Enjoy! I love mine.

as far as i know it's the same engine, just minus all the emissions stuff. the 03/04 2.3l was PZEV rated (partial zero emissions vehicle). 05+ they made it PZEV in green states and regular everywhere else. its 140 or 144 something right now and im sure without the emissions stuff it would [will] be higher.

haha, yeah. i changed my mind a couple times. if i was racing wheel to wheel i would have got an suv, but since i'm just doing DE's i figured it's not extremely likely i'll wreck or something and hopefully if something breaks i can fix it there. and if not, i can get it towed for a lot less than buying a trailer for an suv. and i wouldnt have to get something i would hardly drive. i'll probably drive the focus a fair bit. not as fun as the crx but a lot smoother, lol
and i cant see you driving a small car skidz, lol
