diamond gloss, good, bad, ugly?

i was taking my car in to get the windows tinted to 35%, and they told me about diamond gloss, i was thinking it might be just a scheme to get alot of money outa me, cause yes its alot of money... but if it does what it says it does, i think it would be worth it. anyone heard of it? if so, is it good?

this link i found on it, im sure theres plenty others out there though....
Ziebart Diamond Gloss
the way the guy explained it to me was that its basically designed like the stuff they spray on the plastic molds to allow the plastic to slide right out of the molds. also allowing you to clean your car much easier, and is about 8x thicker than standard wax. basically acts like a second clear coat.

the service they were going to do was deep clean the exterior of the car, and interior of the car, wash, buff, wax, diamond gloss the outside and stain protect the carpets and such inside. after all is said and done, the full tint, that service, and a paintless dent removal is going to cost me 600$.... worth it? when the paintless dent removal and the tint would cost 300 alone.

alot of thoes complaints are for the full 700$ service which i told them i didnt want the sound barrier and undercoating. im basically getting the diamond gloss for 250 and get the interior service free, i just wanted to know if it actually does look better than standard wax ... i might just do it once anyways but i just wanted to see if anyone has used it, the person on the second forum did like to use it apparently. but hmm im just like mehhh why not.

I would ask a body shop what it would cost to color sand & polish the car then compare costs with what you are talking about doing. Color sanding, then buff and wax will get a killer finish.

I bought it for our mini van (it was $600 lifetime warranty which included the sound proofing etc etc). What they didnt tell me is you have to have it recoated every year (which is $10 for 5 years and then after that it jumps to $200). So you may want to think about that side of it as well. They do fix any dings/small dents/scratch's before the recoat but you have to tell them about the spots and actually point it out first. Otherwise paint chips and scratches become permanent unless you want to do a hell of alot of sanding. I know ill never have it done again. Its worthless imo.
