Looks good except for that hood. What's with the window in the hood? It serves no purpose other than "revealing" the top of the intercooler and a plastic engine cover. You don't even get to see anything cool, just a chunk of aluminum and some plastic. It's something I'd expect to see on some riced up civic.

Guess it was just a matter of time before GM's sense of gratuitous styling infected the corvette. At least they didn't chrome the mirrors.....

We were all wondering what they were going to name this car. It was the "Blue Devil" in development but for production other likely possibilities were "SS" and "Stingray" (neither good IMO) and "Grand Sport". I was personally hoping for Grand Sport as a nod to the Zora and the 60's racers but strangely nobody asked me.

This car just rocks. With the supercharger the pedal response is immediate. I have a "torque demo" I do with the Z06 where I'd drive steady in 3rd at about 3000 RPM ... then suddenly floor it for about 1 sec, let off for 1 sec, floor it for 1 sec, etc. and giggle insanely as the passenger got tossed around like a rag doll. (I warn 'em ahead of time but it's still funny. ) Can't get away with that now, even with the larger tires there's too much torque to keep in hooked up. Plus I'm scared to death of crashing one of these things.

Hopefully I can get a hold of one with good tires in the summer so I can try the whole package but given the limited production I'm not holding my breath.

Cheese, racing is a lot like gambling. You should never put more on the table than you're willing to lose in one bad move! Myself I don't care to be rich ... it's just the stuff that I want.
