Ya ... but ..

Great vehicle economically and ecology wise,
but I'd to share a road with a tractor trailer.

$36k . . . it would never pay for itself. For that money I could get 2 Smart cars and take Meathead along in the passenger seat

I never saw th price, just a funny looking car. 36K is insane !

And for the sake of your life and well being, I hope by 'Meathead',
you are referring to your dog !

Reminds me of the Isetta too!

Here is an upcoming production car that looks like a much better deal: DailyTech - Production Volkswagen Up! Promises up to 94 MPG

Funny thing I have noticed here in Colorado. The roads used to be filled with about 90% of all traffic being large SUVs and pickup trucks. In the past few months, I am seeing less and less of them being driven, and instead, seeing them parked with For Sale signs on them. All the used car lost are overflowing with them too. Even Craigs list here is full of people looking to sell or trade them for a more fuel effiecient small car. Now, it looks like 1 out of every 3 cars I see on the roads is a brand new small car with Temp Plates on it. Maybe we will learn like the rest of the world to drive smaller more efficient cars here someday.

This picture is sure to piss a few folks off, but, WTF.
