Well, I think it's working for the moment. It recognized my new post but I'll come back later after a few more people post just to see if that fixed the problem. I'd suggest people who want to try this fix (if it is) use "Search" for fragonsight as I found a few more cookies outside the cookie folder, specifically (or not) Temporary Internet Files.

Well, I came back in and no dice. It said that there were 8 new messages but when I clicked the link the following page said there was nothing that matched my search criteria. Don't know how else I can help ya Soul.

Do you suppose it has something to do with IP address? Being on dialup everytime I disconnect and reconnect I get a new IP. It seems that the features in question do not work when I first come in but if I go to a different site and someone posts and I come back or someone posts while I'm here, the new posts feature works fine.

Sorry, just brain puking. I'll quit now.

Wow, this is just a pain in the *** bug. I did the exact steps as you with the admin account and it worked perfectly.

hmm wonder if I should have logged out last time. ill check iab but being as I just used rss to read new posts I doubt it will work atm . however I use www.fragonsight.com not fragonsight.com.

Ok now it doesnt show that I have any new posts at all even though there are 4. Meaning the link shows 0 new posts when in reality there are 4.
