blong, i do have the -m switch set, but whenever you start the old ventrillo it whipes any user passwords in the new ventrillo, not server passwords but user passwords.

For severs over I think 10 users you have to pay, there is no client cost.

On the concern of between the two, I would have expected TeamSpeak to fade away by now. Its been awhile since I used it, but it has always seamed Ventrilo was vastly superior. There is a reason the majority use Vent.

I have all 3 running on different PC's and they all have thier own advantages/Disadvantages, what ever is free and secure enough for the server side is good for me So what ever the vote I will load I do like Barney's Idea though |=|----------------|=|

In the license file you get when you install it they say you can have up to 8 users.

One of the things I don't like about vent is that you can't get a license for just 1 server for private use, you have to buy/rent through a company that provides it.

Although I appreciate that Soul, I'm going to hold off switching my current
voice setup and wait to see what the 2 new releases of Vent and TS have
to offer (unless of course the majority here navigate to your new TS server).

The original intention of my 'voice viewer' post was to encourage as many
frequent users here as possible to join in the chat, not split existing users.

It is only up for people to try, not as a replacement. There was a post or 2 raised about bandwidth and quality. To make an informed decision they both should be tried.

I completely understand why you wanted it dudio, and that is the reason I have tried in the past to get it to work. Before I go gaming I will usually jump on FoS to see who is where, but I don't load up vent to see who is on that. The severs I play at normally have a newer vent server so I don't bother loading the old.
