Dual Monitors on a 8800 GTS

I got a new 8800GTS 640mb card, once i got things moved around in my case and got it installed was eager to turn QW:ET up to full and see how it looked.

I did and it was choppy, honestly my 6800gt performed better, even on normal the 8800 was giving awful frame rates.

So doing a bit of research (reading the readme) I found this:

PROBLEM: POOR PERFORMANCE WITH DUAL MONITORS

Some users may occasionally encounter poor performance when using dual monitors on the Nvidia Geforce 8 series of video cards with Dual View enabled. To resolve this, follow these steps:
1. Right click on the desktop.
2. In the window that appears, left click the Nvidia Control Panel.
3. Once inside of the control panel, click on manage 3D settings.
4. Under the Global settings tab, look for the Multi-display\mixed GPU-application.
5. Click on the text that says single display performance mode and make sure that it is applied.

That fixed me, now the game looks amazing and plays extremely well!

Thought this might help a few others...

How are you handling the split between monitors when gaming? I would think that would mess with your aiming.

not, the game only plays on one monitor (primary).
