OK, you are going for galactic domination.

So to start with you need to make some money so you can upgrade your ship. So you trade organics, goods and ore one for the other to make money. Doing so allows you to upgrade your ship.

You first want to upgrade your hull and engines, untill you get your engines past level 13 you will only want to use WARP, real space will cost you a lot of turns.

As you upgrade your hull you can hull more thus making more. So you can start upgrading your ship with fighters (computers) torpedos armor etc.

Once you get some money you will want to create a planet (genisis torpedo) or find an unclaimed planet floating around out in space. From there you will want to put colonists on it so that they can generate $ and build torpedos and fighters for you. The colonists will reproduce, so get some on there and let them got at it like bunnies.

As you get more $$ you will want to put it in the bank (IGB) which can be accessed from any of the special ports. You earn interest on yoru money so it is a good way to make $$, but you earn more % by having it on the planet except you are open to attack.

i remember playing this a while back, its fun! still trying to get my nach back, is there anyway you can delete my ship named "Dynamic" i screwed that one up bad ,.... haha, did some trade routes, using real space ..... with my engines at 1.... yeaaaah that sucked

And your points coem from interest put all your money on 1 planet and watch it grow, put it in the bank and it will grow much slower but is safe from attack.

Im down in SC right now but i called mom up today and told her about and asked her to play!!! She mentioned you soul!!! hehehehe i told her id love for her to play and so would everyone else so she might... ( thats a might ) get into it - right now shes enjoying time with her hubby Ripjaw because im out of the state for the moment and going to college and her stepson just moved out hahaha so they got a huge water slide in the back yard and are enjoying the time alone!! hehehe

I've never played this one before. I really like it & I can play it by modamn. Woot!!!
This remids me of an old DOS game I had called Protostar that was very much like this. That was my all time favorite game, and this one is alot like it.

I got some pretty fast scoring going at first, that was competitive with other players, but it slowed down on me, and the other players left me in the dust, so I have been working to see what gets it moving again.

Do you need to be online for the scoring to work faster??

I also haven't figured out the advantages of an Alliance yet. Anyone care to write up a short explanation here.

Being on-line doesn't make you score faster - it is all about earning interest on your money and having your colonist make you money.

For the alliance, they come in very handy, but not till the combat breaks out. I know this is going to sound odd, but when this game gets into full swing things get kind of crazy, Dbabe can back me up on this. Anyway, the alliance allows you and your fellow alliance members so work together and pool resources. The biggest part would be that you can move into a sector that is owned by an alliance member and not be attacked by his/hers defenses. Also, there are corporate planets which allow your teammates multiple advantages.

An alliance is a team, and usually that is a good thing
