Vent replacement
I have come across another app for voice, that is free.

The exciting part of this app beyond being free, is the quality seems to be good, the client can be run from a web browser or a fat client and there is a SDK, so we could incorporate it into the site with out much trouble.

To get started click on this link:
Jabertel

It will ask to install an active x control, once installed put in your name and join. There is not currently a password set.

If you prefer to use the fat client, you can download it from here : Jabertel

The community name is fragonsight

There are currently just the main entry channel and the UT 2004 channel. More can be created if this is something we move forward with.

Please post comments, problems, concerns in this thread.

you cant copy url's like you can with vent
many others. right click anyones name and there is a list of options to chose from. This one doesnt have any of those options other than copy somones comment. Vent has url and comments posted seperately. I dont always get on vent to play games I do get on to "chat" with others.
