whats better than an 1850 lbs car? especially for the price...if i got another car, it'd be heavier, which means i'd need a higher output engine to get the same results which is expensive. this engine was 300 bucks with transmission, axles, and shift linkage. and parts are pretty cheap for a SOHC. if i went with a B16, which is what a lot of people put in these, thats 1200 right off the bat, then parts are nearly double since its DOHC. parts are so easy to come by for this since everyone ditches it to do B16/B18 swaps. i thought about doing something else, but this was the best value that i could see.

carb and parts cleaner did wonders for the small ****. the springs/retainers were new...the block and head were taken to a machine shop. they hot tanked both, honed the cylinder walls and did a full port/polish and valve job on the head. everything on the block i cleaned myself. they just did the bare block itself. most ofthe head stuff they did though. that stuff worked wonders, i have some before/after of the rods, amazing how easy it came off after soaking in the stuff for a little bit
