"A number of "World of Warcraft" players are up in arms over software being used by the game's publisher to scan users' computers for hacks prohibited under its terms of service. "
Blizzard Entertainment, publisher of "World of Warcraft," deployed programs that can peer into players' computers in an attempt to detect the existence of hacking software. I guess you should read the EULA before agreeing to it.
Hmmm, guess reading that long agreement has some merits. You never know what they will put in there. Then again I have nothing to hide so let them look. I dont put anything on the computer I game on that is of a sensitive nature.
The ****ing cheaters always whine when the get caught. I don't have a problem with some software company trying to police its users. They spent tons of time and money developing the game and the idiot cheaters can ruin it for them.
I see no problem with them doing it, Blizzard is a very well known game making company and I dont think they've ever made a game that did sell a couple million copies.
One big issue with those MMORPG is cheating is very very bad. I think Blizzard should have every right to try very hard to police this, especially considering there are more out there who dont cheat who are having their game ruined do to some asshole.
It does get me how the cheaters are the only ones who are gonna whine about this.
haha stupid f****
i'm a huge blizzard fan and feel it's an appropriate step twords catching these cheating wankers
well, they aren't dumb
just f****** nerds
If you don't let Blizzard scan they should disable your game play online. Cheaters don't deserve to get to play and anyone who purposely disables the ability for Blizzard to protect the non-cheaters should not be able to play.
