and the idiots come out to drive :D

haha I know this gets posted every year so i thought I would post it again.

can someoen tell me why someon in there right mind would drive a trans am/camaro in the snow? For me it shouldnt be your only mode of transportation but maybe there is something else im just not seeing. I was lucky and got past the guy before the 20 other cars i passed got to him. He was doing 15mph I was doing 55. luckily I look ahead unlike that post somewhere showing the one car slamming into the van hehe. Anyways does anyone have a logical expanation for driving that kind of car during the winter?

he's saying they shouldnt have that as their only car. if you're only going to have one car, make it one you can drive year round without much difficulty. a camaro in the snow is pretty much asking to wreck. those things lose it even in moderate rainfall. my friend wrecked his turning left at a stop light, just started hydroplaning into the guardrail as he was on his way to school. he learned real quick not to give even a small amount of gas in the middle of a turn, lol

hehe what cheese said. People dont think ahead. hmm michigan michigan has winters will I be able to drive this car in the winter since its the only thing i can afford? For me If I cant afford a sports car and a regular winter vehicle there is no point in gettnig a sports car. You cant drive a sports car in the winter very well now can you .

Yes, They needed to get some bread from the store, so they figured clogging up the road with hang-ups making me dig them out every winter is the fastest way to accomplish that.

Actually all the vehicles with low profile high performance road tires will have problems in the snow. I see these 4x4 SUVs with dubs and little donut tires and they can't even get traction with 4wd engaged

They should have summer and winter tires and use the right ones for the season, I did that for years and my boss still does.

I drove my 1987 5L Mustang all winter long with out much trouble. Had the standard 235/60/15 all season tires. Sure I had to drive the speed limit or lower in the snow but that just seems smart anyways

The logical reason has already been stated, it is their only car

a POS beater doesnt cost that much...you can buy something for winter for under a grand, just get liability and it can actually lower your rates. you can only drive one at a time, which drops both car's rate. and if you get a decent car that runs ok, list that as your daily and drive that to/from work and insurance might be less than with just the one car.

my insurance dropped when i got my crx...although thats more because the integra went under my dad's name which dropped that a ton and crx is under me with just liability, which is still quite a bit considering...hopefully goes back down as time passes since my incidents. cant wait to turn 25. not looking forward to graduating and having both cars under me.
