no one plays BF2? huh?

Q4 you're going to have to wait for some mods for that game to take off and when it does it will be ACTF days all over again. Tough learning curve and small community. sweet.

tough learning curve? correct me if i'm wrong, but do you not just go around shooting people and getting a flag? albeit it's fast and teamwork is more complicated than that i know, but that is the jest of it. i dont see those as part of a learning curve. learning curve to me means feel of the game, controls, etc. I can jump into that game and know exactly what to do...unless its not just Q4 ctf, but at that point, why have ctf in the name, lol

You were never part of the Q3ACTF(Alliance CTF) community so you wouldn't understand my statement. Basically ACTF's downfall was the steep learning curve to be good. Yes you run around for the flag and kill... but learning out to kill and move across the map in ACTF was much more difficult because of the skill level of the rest of the players, the speed of the mod, and understanding of how to use the weapon combos and added features(grapple & pogo)

CSS here when I have time!! Half Life 2 single player game as well! Figure I may as well run through it since I paid for it.

just getting through the learning curve doesnt mean you're good. you could say that about any game imo. most games it's difficult to just go in an be good. css comes to mind, i spent a good 3 weeks before i could even get a positive ratio. but i knew what to do, thats what i percieve as passing the learning curve

No game, not even css was as difficult to get a custom to as Alliance. I know you believe otherwise, but its been hashed and rehashed many times.

CSS doesn't even come close to ACTF.

You won't have any trouble picking up and getting decent in Q4.

The little bit I played of ACTF was not bad. The grapple is a true pain to learn, and I didnt like the way it was setup at all, but that's okay.

As for what game to play, come play CS:S. I'm promise you there's more of us in vent at one time then there are any other game. The last week and a half we have our Vent server maxed out, 4 or so 7s and then some of our friends that we've come by. Just lots of good people to play the game with, its really fun. Plus de_nuke PWNS, what a great new map.
