LOL Skull. Was gonna say. I have a $20 pair of logitech headphone/boom set that works fine for me.

Picked it up at Wallmart

seriously.. you don't need a high end headphone set.. theres no such thing as 5.1 surround or 7.1 surround with head phones...

guess what..it's 2.0 surround!!

Uhh, I know of no highend headphones that claim to be multple channels beyond stereo, that's completely not what highend headphones are about.

When using a highend pair of headphones from a company such as Sennheiser, Grado, AKG, Audiotechnica etc. There is truely a whole different experience, especially from a quality source. I personally consider my self a sorts of "audiophile". The quality of sound is becoming an increasingly more important thing to me than graphics. Before my graphics card went out I was seriously thinking about getting an over $350 headphone setup. Though I've decided on a new computer this Xmas instead.

I have a pair of Bose TriPorts that I really like but they may be a bit out of your price range. The sound is awesome though.
