2007 Wrangler Article - with pictures

http://jweb.jrations.com/07wrglr/07wrglr_2.php

I like much of what I see I know that engine is used in the Grand Carivan so it should be a known entity. I'm curious as to what the aftermarket companies will come up with, it looks like the fenders are made to be replaced easily. The gas tank has been moved in front of the rear axle and the muffler is now at the rear. That is going to make the longarm lift systems manufacturers, like for the TJ, kinda limited in what they can place in front of the axle because the space is now more limited.

Can't believe the diameter of the tires now.
Look at the sizes available with this Jeep!!
Interesting article Smiley.

Some closeup photos. Look how low that gas tank sits . . .

And how low the oil pan is too

Lot of room at the front of the v6 to be able to put in a v8 instead, which is rumored to be on tap for 2008 in the 4 door version

Weird looking pair of cat converters

The bolt pattern for the wheels is now 5x5 instead of 5x4.5, the axles have larger ring and pinion gears and carriers, and the axle shafts in the rear 44 have 32 splines instead of 30 splines - so no current aftermarket axle upgrades are available, yet.
