Interesting question Lopo.
Normally, guys that live in their parent's basement and play up to 17 hrs a day of video games don't do that hot.
But throw in $450k of winnings.........(I mean, even Bill Gates got married right?)

No way to he live in his parents basement. This guy makes over a million a year in just his brand. He's on everything now, from sound cards, mice, motherboards, graphics cards, heatsinks etc.
He's also not the top player anymore, not even close last I heard. A lot of people beat him on a regular basis, hasnt been the best since he moved from UT2k3.

"Last I heard" he had a sex change, got the new Intel 5.5Ghz Quad core with a FSB of 10,240mhz or 10Ghz. He uses completely solid state drives and eats wheaties every day.

We saw him at Quakecon '04 and he was there with his sponsors (ASUS, ABIT? I can't recall). It was when Doom3 had just come out just 2 weeks before, and there was a "Beat Fatal1ty and Win" type of contest. You played him at Doom3 deathmatch, and for each point scored you won a computer part (motherboard, video card, etc), and if you won, you got a whole new system. Apparently, Fatal1ty does this with his sponsors at a lot tradeshows and I'm sure makes a few dollars at the same time.
Inc felt he could have gotten a few points on him, but unfortunately, it was a raffle type system and he never got picked. The only person who did get points (and beat him!) was a guy named Daler who beat him at a Quake3 Tournament a few years before (another Quakecon we attended).
