As a Mac user I use iChat which is compatable with AIM.

only AIM as i hate having multiple things loaded...i use irc sometimes as well, but as of late it's been annoying because it doesnt stay connected

Trillian allows you to be on all of them cheese, you should check it out. I can be connected to AIM, IRC, MSN, ICQ, and yahoo at the same time with a single app. I was always on AIM before, but since some of the guys we CS'd with are on other messenging platforms I conformed to Trillian.

well since we needed to Idle in IRC.... and I didn't want to run a separate app... and it was easy with Trillian.... ya ya you told me to use along time ago... but I was using a AIM mod called Dead AIM.... too bad that guy stopped dev on it. Great app.

Yeah Ive been using trillian since 1.0. The soul reason is I dont have to have mulitple programs open for the various Im things. Even though I use AIM mostly. Im hardly in IRC anymore.
