All I can say is I hope you are marrying her because you love her (that's important!) and then yes, I agree with the others in that it can work out.

Am I the ONLY one here that thinks it's weird that he didn't once say he loves her in his post?

Please I hope no one takes this the wrong way but I'm going to say it. It's like marrying the fat chick because "no one else is going to marry me". The answer to that is to get your own **** in order and THEN look at relationships., like the other guys said it can work and very well at that. The caveat is that you both need to love each other and then it can work.

Good luck!

Apparently most men here have not gotten the code of how we at our local chapter of the hee-man woman hater club handle these every important issues.

While I can't give you a full list, some things are better learned on your own. Here is a small sampling you can get from your local.

Lets get started.

Quote:
1. No more upgrading my computer to keep up with the demands of video games.
Regardless of what you do for a living, you need a computer for work even if it is just for networking with other who do a similar job. Or better yet to update your skills "You need to stay on top of computer improvements to give yourself the edge over the other guy in any interview."

Quote:
2. No more gaming unless she lets me (that's never).
(Headphones) and a large cable TV channel Selection. You can figure out which is for who. You give up 7.1 gaming surround sound but you at least get to game. I can't game without headphones anymore. (been married long time)

Quote:
3. No more buying that brand new uber-distance Calloway Driver.
Once Again Bring it back to Network with your peers, explain how many deals and job offers are made on the golf course and unless your invited your never going to get any of those offers. The uber driver is simply there to impress you peers and she should already know that.

Quote:
4. No more lounging around all day watching SportsCenter (enter "the STYLE network").
This is what sisters, sister-in-law, mothers and mother-in-laws are for, they shop we run around the lawn making things look like we did something then relax and watch sportcenter. Be careful with this one is can have some serious downside if your wife like to shop.

Quote:
5. No more stopping by at the bar after work for a couple of beers.
This is where the work softball team comes into play. Your wife soon after you are married will no doubt tell you that you need to exercise more. BINGO Softball(summer) Basketball(winter) Drinks after each, this counter balances any exercise you may have actually received with some carbs.

Quote:
6. No more taking vacation to go to Vegas with my friends.
(What goes to Vegas Stay in Vegas)

Quote:
7. No more spending all day Saturday golfing and drinking at the 19th hole.
See above #3

Quote:
8. No more taking vacation to attend one of Demon's LAN parties
Quote:
9. No more cheesecake, ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, bacon strips and/or macaroni and cheese for dinner.
[quote] 10. No more sleeping in on Saturday when there is so much stuff to work on outside.

As for the last three, these are for you to figure out on your own, this married guy has show you the system and this would be a great place for you to start.

As Red Green would say "I'm pulling for you, remember, we're all in this together."

I think soul nailed it on the head.

You need to talk to her before, well now, sit her down and talk it out. Remember, she will have equivalent issues/likes/hobbies/etc that she will have to reduce as well.

It's not a one way road.

Listen to me... ha, and I still have another year before my wedding.

No Harb, I think its weird as hell .... Why get married if its such a horrible thing? You marrying her so you wont go to hell? So she will take care of you?? With all this negativity you are bound to fail. I do feel sorry for her.

The first time I got married, I made the mistake of marrying a girl I didn't really love, I just figured it was the right thing to do.... in return what she had done for me... That only lasted 4 years. The second time I got married, I married for Love. We have been married now for 18+ years... I still get to do my things, but, in moderation. Oh, I almost forgot, you will need to sign up for the M3 (Miserable Married Men) Club shortly after getting married. Send a PM and I'll send you an application....

Ok... if we ever have a huge multiclan LAN party, d-fragger has to go so I can pick up some more tips. That stuff is absolutely brilliant. As much as I suck at basketball, I think I can make a fool of myself to get in on a little post-game pub action.

For everyone's info, I do love Dina. I don't say it much to everyone else because I don't much like hearing it from others. When I hear a coworker say they love their wife, I usually respond with "no... really?" or "gee... I sure hope so". It's kind of a given for me otherwise I would not waste my time.

Dina drives me crazy with her insanity. That's ok because I realized a long time ago that all women are insane... some more than others. Dina is relatively mildly insane and I'm willing to live with that... in fact there are times when her insanity serves as a source for comedy.

only thing i can say is that women know two things

1.if you bring flowers home. you did something wrong.

2. if you bring candies orf choclate home, you want something....

and as for sex... it gets less and less each week unless you remember to hug adn kiss her each day when you come home from work and tell her shes Sexy....

plus dont pull a blong, and grow a garden patch of kids... then its all over
