Salary-cap agreement reportedly won't end NHL lockout
It looks like they have finally agreed on a salary cap. The NHL and the Players Association finally agree on something other than just changing some of the rules.
I miss hockey!

NHL was my favorite sport till the lockout and I really do not care to watch some greedy money hungry professionals play when the lockout is over.

My guess is that all of the teams will come back from the lockout however, we will probably see some teams folding in the near future.
It will be interesting to see if the NHL will be able to retain fans interest in the US. They need a good TV deal badly. I believe that they have a network deal with NBC which doesn't pay much and recently ESPN cut ties with them.

Both the NHL commissioner and the Players Union leader should both step down and let others take their place.. In their arrogance they will destory, if they havent already, the NHL.. Each day they lose more respect and more fans. I have read that the Oilers are wanting to close their AHL team for one year in order to get those fans back once and if playing starts up again..
Stupid idiots

im sure someone is thinking of making their own hockey league right now to replace the NHL. if the head guys at NHL keep dragging this on, soon they're gonna be out of a job. it'd be so easy for another league to come along right now...they dont even need to build rinks, just rent out the auditorium things they're played at...at least i assume thats what NHL does

Cheese if your expert opinion is correct and this is EASY. Let's do it. You start it and can be commissioner and I will fund it and we will all drive RX8's.

I could careless whether the BlackHawks ever play again. I enjoy watching the Chicago Wovles who have won 3 IHL championships are in the finals again this year. Unfortunately they now down 0-3 so it's not looking good for number 4....
They play with heart and passion and fans can actually watch a game with taking a second mortgage....
