ok got it to run 1280x1024

go to location
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith Productions\FEARCombat

and open settings.cfg. change it to say 1280 and 1024 and save the file. the display settings in the game will say 640x480 but you will be running 1280x1024 .

I know (my son was on my computer so I was using wilds for a bit) where to set it but everytime I went back to the game it would default back to player. 3rd time it finally took. I played with d-fragger for a bit playing a modded server with CTF.

PLayed tonight, wasn't all that impressed. Just seemed kinda like HL2DM, except you die easier from fewer shots.

The graphics are pretty impressive in this game but the MP is not what I was expecting. Guess I will have to find something else to play while I wait for enemy territory Quake Wars to come out.

Basic DM/TDM stuff.
Nice textures and maps and gameplay was ok but nothing spectacular.

I would consider playing more if there were a game mode with more strategy envloved.

I played CTF for a few hours, not too bad for a free game. The fact that you die easily from a shot or two slows the game down quite a bit and forces you to use cover.

The last urban combat game I played was the original urban terror mod for q3 and sof I. So to me it looks good compared to those.

Ill try the control point mode today.
