I need help useing Power Point 2003, and how to use Macro's

Hey everyone im scheduled to make a Power Point Presentation on Monday, but I have no idea what a Macro is, and I didnt pick it either. Ive spent the last Hour trying to figure out how to work these things and have come up empty handed. I was hoping there was someone here who could point me in the right direction or maybe get me started, I would Really Appreciate it.

Why do you need to use Macros? What are you trying to achieve?

Dunno if this fits but could you talk about, say, using macros in Microsoft Excel? Does it have to be about Powerpoints Macros? Macros in excel are much easier to explain (such as recording keystrokes for repetitive tasks, etc) and for add ins such as Solver, etc.

Hmm it has to be powerpoint but the website that Hakko gave me actually taught me how to understand a little bit of it.

It seems as if macros is a way to easily create repetitive things on a slide, with out useing the master slide feature

Hey, depending on how long your presentation has to be you could use Hakko's link and use that as the basis for your presentation, and then do a demo of one in the class......

One of the most important things with macros,
and you'll want to highlight its importance in your speech,
is that you need to make sure that your monitor is ON !
