my question is, could you travel to the past by orbiting around a black hole that's star had collapsed before his father's death and meet him?
if our own constructed time machine only works from the point you turn it on, could a black hole older than his fathers death work?
but then if you could and did, would you meet the father in a parallel universe that doesn't conform to this ones rules, and thus avoid the paradox?
in that case, i guess it wouldn't really be time travel but tanscending our universe's boundaries
and might explain why he hasn't already saved his fathers life in this universe
quantum mechanics is weird
