One of those special kind of days...

You know every once in a while I have a day that goes way the hell beyond perfect. So perfect that really makes you wonder if someone is watching out for you. Check this out. This probably won't be too amusing for alot of people but if you are a DIY'er in the realm of housing this is SWEET.

So I went out to dinner. Nothing special but, went to meet an old High School Buddy of mine @ Taco Bell( I know so far this is boring) We chatted for about an hour and a half. He mentioned that he had to run over to the Book store near my house (Barnes and Noble) (Ok Mac this story isn't going anywhere.) Anyhow, he mentioned that he was gonna do some shopping and maybe later get back together and hit the bar. I said ok I will go kill some time in the Lowes(Home Improvement center) next door. (Cool part was I really went in there to talk to one of the girls I like in the place, she is a friend so I knew regardless of the outcome It was at least going to be a friendly hi and bye see ya later. Well I was walking in and I saw her marking down some stuff in the "To be sold as Clearance aisle". I went over and say Hey what ya doing..... We kept talking and she went over to the side and marked down some Returned OAK flooring. I was like wow how much you gonna mark it down... Oh well see they people that ordered it only order four boxes and they decided after it came in they didn't want it. I thought to myself Hmmmm. Maybe if it was a good price I might be able to buy it. Well as some of you know finished Oak Flooring isn't cheap. New the boxes are about $115-200 dollars a 20sq-ft a bundle. She wrote 20 dollars on each box and I nearly **** my pants. I said are you for real. She said Yep. Ok... so I get rung up. $115 per box... then the special as marked on label to 54.98. then with a swipe of the girls card marked each box to 20 bucks. Plus, just as I was walking out the door she came walking out and we talked and I had said thanks and told her how about dinner tomorrow. OK she said. OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
