Funny how many of us changed jobs.
The ammo company I worked for went out of business after the owner hired one of his "friends" as President of the company. He slowly but surely disbanded the company so that he could buy the patents. The mortage investor I was working with got involved in a financially destructive deal. I tried to tell him that it reeked badly of SCAM but he wouldn't listen. He lost everything, and all of the contracts we had pending were lost. I didn't make a dime, but I didn't lose anything but some time.
I'm still a wife/mom, but its really only me and Rip at home now. Scotty is in college and doing really well (Dean's list all the way so far). Matt is out on his own, working and struggling as we all did once.
I went to work for the state as the clerical staff supervisor for 5 health departments, 4 dental clinics, and 5 environmental health offices. July of 2007 brought a budget shortage thanks to the tanking housing industry, and my job was eliminated. Luckily, just before it was eliminated our purchasing tech accepted another job, and so I transfered into her job. Now I sit around all day buying stuff. Its boring, but they couldn't change my pay, so its not too bad.
