Well lets see here.....
I am a full time school bus driver. Trained on the big 40ft buses as well as the smaller lift (special needs buses) During this past school year I had a middle school and an elementary route. On my middle school I had about 60 students and on my elementary route I had 68 students (bilingual -- that I started out only barely understanding -- Eventually came to an understanding and I even had one of my 3rd graders trying to help me with some VERY basic Spanish). I would have to be at our transportation center at least 20 minutes before my route would pull out (around 6:00am) and return around 8:30-9:00am depending. Then I would normally either have a field trip to do after that or they would have me drive a noon special needs route. Then it was back to work from 1:30pm to around 4:30-6:00pm depending. And I wouldn't change it for anything. I loved driving those students and actually was crying some when the last day of school hit.

I am also a mom of 3 and a wife to A7 which takes LOTS of time as well.

**Edit** Fixed some grammar errors

I salute you LadyB you have more patients than I do. I drove a couple of bus loads of adults and that was bad enough

awww dbabe ... I wubs ya!!! Your pretty great yourself.

You find yourself getting attached to the kids. They were like my own kids. The little ones (kindergarden - 3rd grade) would give me hugs in the mornings and again in the afternoon. It really made my days!!!
On the last day of school all of my students including my middle schoolers took my sign down I had on the bus and signed one side of it and I was able to get all the kids from my elementary to sign the other side. My little memento of this year. (sentimental type)

http://dnr-productions.net/image/sign.jpg That is what they all signed. Made me cry to see it.... They were all sweet. Now you can get rotten routes but that can be worked around.

i'm an apprentice machinist and work for a company (RF Ironworks) which is owned by a huge offshore company (Hydril).
We are a tiny specialized shop that (mainly) threads pipe that's use to draw mud and oil from the holes on oil rigs.

I spend my days working on a dinosaur of a CNC lathe threading pipe/connections. It's a massive, dirty, dual turret machining center that runs suprisingly well considering it's age (very little backlash and way wear). I do my best to avoid crashes, but i once rapided the rear turret into the work :S.

I like my job and the people i work with. Today, I just got back from an oil field technology picknick (put on by a lot of the big names in the oil industry around here, and coors light). Free beer (coors light) and rum and jello shooters and sausages and hamburgers and pop and nachos and a whole bunch of awesome stuff. Twas an excellent time.

work for a large company doing IT operations. my duties include monitor WAN connections in several countries. monitor 2000 servers and trouble shoot some problems that come up, and on the weekends i take a few user help desk calls.

what i really do is sit and surf the net all night and fix a couple problem that come up during the night and take a few calls. other than that this job is really boring, when there is work to do it can be fun but that is doesn't happen often.

I design buildings and the most excellent spaces within them. Frag and I work at the same firm...just like in the college days except we played quake2-lmctf more than we actually worked back then.

I've been at this firm going on seven years now. Frag is a nooby at our firm (but not to the business) so I get to say things like..."get me some coffee, biatch!!"...but he doesn't. :/ biatch!!

I am also a mom of 2 kids and am married to fruitmedley (which is a job in itself)
