Biggest question is if this SKU will get a price drop as well this fall, as it is bound to happen I would expect before the end of this year.

i think it would b cool if they offered an upgrade plan for people who had previously purchased the old one for close to the same amount =/ ..... not me, but i have that version! ,,,, i just kinda got it for free lol

You can buy full case skins, for awhile now. Shops even have replacement cases. The hard drive, they'll probably be offering an upgrade out for that soon as well.

Of course that was expected, I am actually surprised its so "cheap". $100 for a 20GB and now just $179 for 120GB. I must give Sony credit on one area, at least they let the user put their own hard drives into the PS3.
