Actually read the events during networking class when I went to wikipedia, it was on the current events section. It really is rather shocking, sadly these types of events are not so rare as people like to imagine.

This brings me right back to one of the earlier shootings like this at one of the engineering schools in Montreal, Ecole Polytechnique. (back in 1989) Had several friends from high school going there, luckily none of them got hurt. That sicko was mainly after women....

and just so i can make things clear. all the media is shouting that tech dropped the ball about notifying us. i guess you guys can make your own decision about that, but let me just say that i got the email about the first shooting in the residence hall and still went to campus at 9:50 because i felt like it was a domestic thing, just as they had. you dont close a town or notify a town when theres been a domestic shooting do you? i dont see how a campus is different. he knew the girl he shot in the dorm, the other was the RA that was a witness and tried to stop him. there is no reason to expect that he would go to an academic building nearly 3 hours later and shoot 60 more people.

just my venting at the media for blaming everything on tech and all the could have been prevented BS. the guy was pyscho and nothing could have prevented him killing people that day. can second guess all day, but i dont think they did anything wrong.

I was listening to CNN this morning and they said he was a guy who was a loner who played video games. Of course, they always blame video games. They said this was the reason he was so calm when he shot all those people. What a bunch of B.S.
