Genealogy Software
My wife is working on her family tree and I was wondering if any of you have tried any of the Genealogy software that is on the market? Thanks

I used Family Tree Maker back when Windows 95 was the hot ticket. Then they went online subscriber based with it and I never tried anything else. I hate subscriber stuff. If you wife finds something she likes please let me know.

Smiley I bought Family Tree Maker Ver. 16. There is a part which they would like you to subscribe, but that is extra and you dont have to do it for the program to work. I like it so far. Real easy to use and it came with a trial subscription to Ancestry.com and I already found that some one had traced my Great Grand mothers family back to 1500's England. It also says I'm related to Jimmy Hoffa, Howard Hughes, and Dwight D. Eisenhower. Hmmm I wonder if they have given out all the Hughes fortunes
