After long last I have aquired broadband interenet in the form of DSL. After years and years of 56k I have taken the step forward. For those that remember the SOF2 days and such with my mad warping skills anyway

Little late for playing that game though but damn. I have climbed the mountain and the other side is good.

I don't see how I could ever go back to dial-up. I would probably just stop using the Internet at home if I had to deal with such a slow connection. Mines not really blazing fast (DSL, 1.5/384) but the few times I've had to use dial-up at someone elses house I about cried. What really gets me is people who have dial-up because they still think its cheaper, a customer recently came into the shop I worked at who was paying $30 a month for dial-up, we politely informed him that 3mb DSL was possible at his house for $15 a month and had been for two years, he was rather angry haha.

The cable we have here in our new house is decent, 3mb dl but only 200-something upload. It takes forever to load CS servers and when it does, I only see like 270 or so. It just kind of stops. Now, I don't know if that's the connection's fault, but I doubt I'd get great ping playing anyway, which sucks. At work it's even worse, though expected because of the number of people on the network. Only problem is that the program we use to do the paper work is a internet-based

Ive been using dialup for years ever since I can remember. Hell I remember when it was pre 56k modems. But yeah its wierd I actually kinda miss it for some reason. Like ive lost something.
