I picked this jeep up while I was in Southern California over the Thanksgiving holiday. I'm totally pumped to have a viable offroading machine now. The Xterra just wasn't cutting it.

35×12.50 inch Toyo Open Country Mud Terrains
17inch Walker Evans Wheels
Mopar Rack Rails

I have a growing mod list that I can't wait to sink my teeth into.

I'm holding off buy a 4-door Wrangler until they put a bigger engine in it. I want it to take the place of my tow vehicle and a 3500 lb tow limit will just will not cut it for me. They did come out with yellow for 2008, so I've been dearly tempted every time a spot a Smiley yellow one on the road lately

Are those the WE real beadlock wheels? Could you post a pick of it on level ground please. Does the front tire touch inside the well at fully compressed? If so, does it touch the body itself or the fender supports?

Those are the same tires I'm planning on getting for my F350 this spring, except in 38x14.5x16 size.

Niiice LoPo!

I'm even more jealous than I normally would be, about 6 months ago I replaced my truck with a Saab 9-3. Although chicks dig it I have a heck of a time getting to my fav fishing spots now.

Smiley, I've done the research, Jeep wont be releasing another more powerful engine until MY2013, I have direct access to a DB that maintains most automakers plans public disclosed and privately kept. They are looking to put out a 4 banger in 2 years though.

Most guys are swapping to a 5.7 or 6.1 HEMI, which I might do in the future.

Up next is a bumper and regearing - 5.13's.

To answer your question, the tires were hitting the top of the fenders, not the body, actually they BARELY rubbed the fenders, they actually rubbed pretty bad on the front bumper. I need to get the bump stops adjusted... this lift has to last 1-2 years and then I will upgrade to a long arm kit.

I will try and get you a street/level shot.

The beadlocks are cosmetic, I don't necessarily care for them, the previous owner had them anodized red and as you can see it's faded. I'm going to try and buff/polish it off.

2013 !

I had read that they are developing a new v6 that was due to be used in 2009 or 2010. Plus the word is that the 4 cylinder will be a diesel, but that was not due until 2010.

If they are really waiting until 2013 then I will probably go a different route and keep the F350. The wife wants a Smart FourTwo this summer anyway
