That's no $hit

For the first time, Sunday, I put a one hundred dollar bill in my truck.
36 gallon tank.
It was 3.31/gal, most stations were 3.46, so I filled up. (that is only 30 gal.)
Forty I put in my wife's Equinox , that's $140.oo in one day, two vehicles.
WTF

That $5.oo bill, ain't that far off........ Nothing but greed. Billion's of $$$ in profit

At one time money was backed by the Gold Standard
Then they were silver certificates
Now the "Gas" Standard.

We've come a long way...

LOL @ Erad

Giant Eagle - fuelperks! Program Rules

Basically, every $50 you spend you get .20 off a gallon, that includes prescriptions. They also have gift cards, electronic stores, department stores, restaurants, travel and Visa and Amex cards, so when I bought my new ipod I bought the amount I needed in best buy gift certificates and got that extra off.

Being that the wife and I both work from home we don't need to drive much, we can walk to many restaurants and stores from our house, and have a trailer for our bikes that we can use to cart groceries home.

You are allowed 30 gallons at the discounted price, but you can only fill 1 car at a time, so I bought 3 5 gallon gas cans and fill those up when I fill up my car and fill up the other car with the cans when I get home.

Since August we have had enough off for a free tank, by the time we get through our 2 tanks of gas we have earned another 30 gallons. I just filled up last weekend ($99.73 I believe) worth of gas, and I already have enough for another 30 gallons for free.
