UT2007 Preview
GameSpot's UT2007 Preview - redef -
8/27/06 1:32 PST - General UT2007 News
GameSpot has taken their turn at previewing UT2007 based on a presentation at the Leipzig Games Convention. Their preview covers all the basics but pays particular attention to the vehicles and the differences as determined by one’s race. Here’s a little preview of the preview (how ironic!) for you:
The amount of time between Unreal Tournament 2004 and 2007 has also allowed technology to catch up with Epic's dreams for the game's weaponry. Considered as the main 'character' by the designers, this time around the weapons have a much more tangible quality while still retaining their outrageous functionality. The weapons are now made up of 40,000-50,000 polygons, which is nearly as much as an entire level from the last game.
SO who has the pc to run with any candy turned on?

Well, is that just an X800XL in your sig or an X1800XL? I'd actually venture and say neither of them could, especially the X800XL.
Heck, even super high end systems are pushed to run Oblivion at max settings, let alone what UT2k7 will offer.

Well, when 2k7 comes out, won't the R600 DX10 series cards be out?

Re-read his question... he said "any" candy..... I'd find it hard to believe an X800 series card wouldn't be able to run anything.
