UT2004 question
I was wondering if I could pick the collective hives brain here.

I run my own ut2004 server, I'm fairly new at it. I've been learning a lot but was wondering ....

You know when some people teamchat during the game? I've seen some servers can put a little yellow icon over their head in game so people supposedly won't frag them. This seems to be a mod, but I'm wondering if anyone knows what the mod is or where to get it?

Does this involve the use of a monitor?

Flying Dutchman would probably be your best
bet for 'tapping' knowledge on UT server stuff.

I will check the options of our UT2004 server. For sure you can see when peeps are chatting, but this would make it more visible.

Gimme some time, as I don't seem to be able to "talk" to our server after I did it's weekly reboot.

Remind me in a bit if I don't get back to you...

We're all been around the corner more than once.

Thanks for checking that Dutchman. Yeah I noticed your server went offline yesterday. It was the sametime I made a changed to my .ini file and put mine offline for a few minutes lol

Server is back on line now.

I checked the settings and there is nothing there that looks like what you are looking for.

Some excellent places to look:

Last night I checked about 50 pages of Google results trying to find something about this for you. There was one reference (on Planet Unreal, as I recall) about a mod that Digital Extremes was working on after they released the DE bonus pack for UT99, which referenced a 'yellow teamspeak icon.' I found no other reference to this mod and don't think it was ever released.

The only other thing I could find that was close is the mention in the release notes for one of the UT2004 patches about the 'teamspeak icon turning green when the link gun is active.'

Do this perhaps have something to do with the in-game voice chat thingy?...which I've never used.
