Trouble with an ATI all-in-wonder card

I built a media center pc a while back. I have this media center inside my TV/Home Theatre cabinet hooked into both. For the vid card I am using an ATI all in wonder 2006 edition. I built the machine hooked to a monitor. After I got it built I disconnected the monitor and hooked it to the TV using the "yellow" RCA componet jack. When I booted the pc up it would display on the TV, bios and all. After a short time and a few more installs and setups it for some reason does not display to the TV anymore. I have to physically hook a monitor up to it if it get's rebooted and go into the ATI software and check the force finding all available display devices and then clone the pc monitor to the TV. I can then unhook the monitor and as long as the pc never reboots it will remain. That's not how it happened in the very beginning though and I can't seem to right that wrong or get it to do it again. I have no clue if it's something I did or what I did. I have completely rescratched and reloaded windows media center on it with still no results. Every time I still have to hook a monitor up to it and go in and check the box to detect all available display devices. Once I check that and click apply it takes it but if I reboot it won't retain that setting.

Anybody out there have any dealings like this with the ati all in wonder? I have loaded the current drivers and software from the ati site with still the same results? I pondered thru the bios thinking maybe it was something there but either it's not standing out or there is nothing. The card is an AGP card and I do have that set in the bios instead of PCI. I have not gone to ATI about this yet but intend to do so real soon. Just thought I would post the problem/question out here first to see if there was anybody else that might be in the know.

Thanks guys.

- hmmm .. I wouldn't think it would display the bios.
Figured you wouldn't see anything til Windows started to load up.
Maybe I haven't got a clue !!

After a short time and a few more installs and setups it for some reason does not display to the TV anymore.

-Any idea exactly what changes /installations/patches you made?

Have you tried to set up a profile in the ATI utility and save it?

hmmm .. thinking more about it...
Maybe disable the ability for the card to have 2 displays,
and instead force one that is only the TV.
That would explain the primary output being the
computer display, and the secondary being the TV
after Windows kicked in.

No, I wasn't really keeping track. But I do know this... at least what I thought I was loading should not have impacted this.

Yes. I have saved a profile. when I try to reload the profile. it won't reload it. I save the profile with the box checked to check for all devices... but it won't reload the profile that way when I go back into manually load it.

I think I tried this already dudio but it wouldn't let me... but I can't remember for sure so I will try it again just to be sure. It's a good suggestion anyway. Like I said though, when I first hooked it up to the tv the bio's booting up showed on the tv. It did this for a good few days before it stopped. I was suprised also as I would of thought only when windows kicked in and the ATI software started up.

ya .. I agree.
What if you remove the drivers,
and run the card as a default vga card
with just the TV hooked up?
