What is a good video card for under $300, strickly for gaming.

Ahh, the perfect price point right now!

Very easy question, the answer is the Radeon X1800XT, right in at $299 from Sapphire. This is a great deal, you should really jump on these cards!!

not with the way these things are built ... i had one, its a beast!! hehe... but still i had a radeon x1800xt and i must say it was an awesome card, i upgraded it for an x1900xtx and sold it to my freind for 300$

That X1800XT paired with anything from AMD would be great..... just DONT go with Intel!
