APG or PCI
Ok dumb question, but how do I know which I have? I supose I could go look on the box or open it up and look inside, but you guess need someone to rag on.  Thanks

did u mean PCIe? I doubt there is a straight PCI card that would run BF2 or BF2142.
The ATI 9800/800/850 are AGP & the 4 digit ones...1600/1900 etc are PCIe I believe.

There is a x1300 and x1600 for both PCIe and AGP

Go into device manager > view > view device by connection
From there find the AGP port (if listed) and expand it, you should see your card.
If not find repeat for PCIe -

Thanks, Guys, I was looking at putting an X1800 pro 512 MB on my Xmas list and needed to know which one.  This box is about 5 years old and I couldn't remember. I have a 9800 now

X1800 Pro? Old! X1950 Pro is $200 and faster and well you'd actually be able to find one? Hell, I dont even recall a X1800 Pro!
A 9800 Pro is AGP, which would mean you really have no decent options unless you bought a new motherboard and then potentially new processor and memory.

There's some games that a X850XT can not play such as the new Splinter Cell for example.
