Makes massive an understatement. I understand the want for silence, but the kind of stress on a card like that to me is just unwarranted. I have this Sapphire under the tree at this very moment, its both pretty, functional, quiet and most importantly does not weigh a metric ton.

uhh the cooler goes in a slot "under" the card so how is that putting stress on a card?

Its a dual slot cooling unit, it does not plug into another slot, the wording is a bit misleading, nothing in the picture appears to suggest that it actually fits into say another PCIe slot or does it appear to have a expansion slot bracket. Also, that would mean your motherboard would have to have a lot even there, which is not always the case especially systems with Crossfire or SLI boards where that space can be emply in order to fit high end cards dual slot cooling systems.

Even if it did use either method, the card is not perfectly rigid, it will bend.
